Hey all – I just want to do a general check in with everyone and see how you are doing. Remember we are operating under fluid dates for assignments but also I just want make sure everybody’s doing OK. It feels like there is a lot of churn in the world right now, so please take good care of yourselves.
Right now, my area of northern Michigan is under a hazardous air quality alert from fires in Canada and Minnesota. We simply should not be outside at all except for short amounts of time with all the chaos on the national and international stage, this feels like a lot. Please took good care of you and yours.
Please be mindful of how much time is left in our course and what work you need to accomplish. Everything must be in by the last day of class. I also want you all not to feel stressful or anxious, but to enjoy the process of discovery of the various modules, etc. Please post questions below or message me directly.

@michael We are getting the smoke in Chicago, too. It’s days like this, with a 100º+ heat index and 700+ AQI, that I wonder why I chose to work in Outreach. LOL
@jenfredrick be safe! I just saw this on Instagram. I did not realize how bad it is in Chicago: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Da3t8xDpEcI/?igsh=MXZjYmw2cHhsdDF3eA==
Thank you for checking in, @michael. Things are feeling a bit intense these days and it has definitely affected my concentration! The course has been a nice distraction, though, and brings me hope. I hope everyone is breathing a little easier today.
