@nicoler I so appreciate this type of service. I cannot recall which module but the work Clark County library is doing to get the unhoused cell phones is amazing:

@leslies I enjoyed your graphic and ideas. I just saw an overview of all the AI focused proposals that received funding from the Institute of Museums and Library Services. So interesting to see how librarians might use AI and teach others about it.

News: A look inside the criminal probe that targeted Texas librariansHey all – It is worth the time to watch this. I am hoping the focus on book banning and holding librarians as liable fades as our political climate shifts.

After watching this lecture, I now want to take a slow walk across one of these zig-zag bridges! I’ve crossed them before, but I didn’t realize the significance. I’m not particularly worried about evading evil spirits at the moment, but I love the idea of appreciating different points of view.

@hildana brainstorming may be one of the most important uses for students as well as others. I have been thinking a lot about artificial intelligence and the core course I coordinate INFO 200 Information Communities. How might AI play a role in a writing centric course such as 200? I think this is something a lot of us in higher end are wrestling with.

@rcsyme I really appreciate your focus on listening for this post. I also just read another post about the importance of listening. You make a very good point here regarding the skill of listening. I really don’t recall any sort of staff training we had on listening to each other whenj I was at SJCPL, but I’m sure it would be very useful.

In order to bridge this gap and ensure that those Swedes who want to get online can, a
nationwide campaign called Digidel 2013 was launched in 2009 and ran through to 2013. It
mobilized large parts of the Swedish public and commercial sectors: libraries,…[Read more]-

@Caroline Hmmm… I would lean toward grounding the IR in a tech that is at least on the horizon. If you make one up there may not be literature etc on the tech. This final assignment is to demonstrate your mastery of our course topics with a deep dive of a new or emerging tech: “Create an examination of an emerging technology or participatory…[Read more]
