Sorry to miss this while traveling! I’m now in Seattle for the summer, and the library system here is recovering from a ransomware attack that has essentially forced the branch librarians back to the olden days of physical check-outs using an offline spreadsheet. (Libby not working, holds not working, online account access not working, etc.) This has inspired me to explore cybersecurity issues for libraries this semester and perhaps also the importance of staff remaining trained on some analog skills in addition to digital tools. Please let me know if this will be covered in our readings/chats — or you have other recommended resources relate to this topic.

@nicole287 our school has some very robust classes on cyber security issues. I don’t think there is much in the hyperlink library, but you could do your choose your own adventure module to do a deep dive into how libraries are responding to those kind of issues. I would be fine with that.
I am working (work every other Sunday), but look forward to the next one!
