Reminder: Sunday – Class Social Time

See you Sunday!

  • September 7: Our first Class Social Hour will be at 1pm PT. I’ll be on hand to chat or answer any questions you have. No formal agenda, just a chance to check in.

Occasionally throughout the semester, Michael will host a social time for the class in the Hyperlinked Library Commons on Zoom.  These are optional “drop in” sessions for students to ask questions, share or just chat. We might also have guest speaker or conversation with a practitioner.  There are no mandatory sessions  but students are encouraged to attend if schedules allow. It will be a way for us to check in and keep in touch. Sessions will be recorded.

          1. @michael, I like Stash teas I’ll have to try their version of black tea to get me moving in the mornings. I grew up on Lipton, but lately I’ve been drinking Twinings English and Irish breakfast teas. (Loose leaf feels fancy, but a bit too fussy for the morning.)

          2. @suedonnim I do pretty well with the loose leaf in the morning. I think I’d like the ritual love it. I take the boys outside while the kettle is boiling come inside afterward and pour the water into a little teapot with the loose leaf then I feed the boys while it steeps

    1. @jcrystalc, may I join your tea-drinker club too? I need recommendations besides Earl Grey and Orange Pekoe. 😁 I just bought some rooibos loose leaf with cinnamon—Do Not Recommend! Trader Joe’s is too far for me. I’ll have to find a drink-alike for the “winter wake”.

      1. Winter Wake has a cinnamon base. I checked Reddit, and they said some are close, but no cigar. I also like Chai tea. I can make a mean chai latte, I have a frother that froths the creamer, I add a little dash of cinnamon and sugar spice, and sometimes add a pinch of pumpkin spice on the top of the cream.
