Good morning everyone. Please update the feed for the course blog to this:
https://287.hyperlib.sjsu.edu/feed/
@innerchildlibrarian posted about some oddness with the feed and I investigated and there does seem to be a little something off. It seems that there are sometimes gaps in the feed from the course blog and this may correct the problem. This is something to try for now, but the next step will be engaging with IT support in our college to further troubleshoot.
Here is a workflow to delete the current feed:
- Open the Hyperlinked Library group to display both feeds.
- Click ⋯ beside Hyperlinked Library Course Blog.
- Select Unfollow.
Then add the new one:
Copy the URL and click on the “Follow Sources” on the left hand side of the Feedly page. Paste the URL in and follow. Add it to the Hyperlinked Library group.
How did these insights come about?
I copied the feed URL and put it into the ChatGPT and said please troubleshoot this RSS feed. It came back with it should be working, but it should have the HTTPS: in the URL. I do not know that much about the technical bits of an RSS feed so the 🤖I do not know that much about the technical bits of an RSS feed so the 🤖 was incredibly helpful for this. This is another reason to have at least some base knowledge about how to use ChatGPT or other AI.

@michael Hello! to update the feed for the course blog with the url provided above in Feedly is that accomplished via the same protocol as we did on adding the “Hyped on Coffee and Libraries” blog through the dd “follow sources” link?
@tbgoodwillie Yes! 😃😃😃
@tbgoodwillie Yes! 😃😃😃
@michael I searched “https://287.hyperlib.sjsu.edu/feed/” (in message above) in “follow sources” on Feedly it returned a suggested link that said that I was already following. So, did it auto-updated it, or am I being a lug-head?
@tbgoodwillie Oh no – You are not a lughead. I forgot the step that you should delete the current one. I will amend the post above.
@michael appy-polly loggies … in the first bit of the workflow, “Open the Hyperlinked Library group to display both feeds,” the “Hyperlinked Library group” is in Feedly? Also, does the “display both feeds” mean, to open the left side panel and the current selection there form? I may be trying for lunkhead this time, or my Gen X-ness is on dim display … haha?
@tbgoodwillie Full name of the group is Hyperlinked Library Course Blog & Activity. Click the left hand side arrow so it points down, and the two feeds inside appear. Then you can click and delete the one you don’t want. It’s called Hyperlinked Library Course Blog.
You are not a lunkhead! Gen X here too (1965)
@michael phewie … aaand bingo! Thanks! You got me beat on the Gen X-erie; I arrived with the Spiders from Mars in 1972.
