Written by Greetings all – I wanted to share a bit about how I’m moving through your reflection blogs this term.
With such a large group, I’m doing my best to stay up with everyone’s work in a way that’s thoughtful and sustainable. My usual approach is to read and comment on your first three posts as they come in, and then circle back to your last two when I’m grading so I can take in the full arc of your thinking.
So if you don’t see comments from me on every single post right away, please know that I am reading—and I will be spending time with those later entries as I look at your overall reflection and growth.
I also just want to say thank you.
I’m really appreciating the human voices coming through in your work—the honesty, the curiosity, the connections to your own lives and experiences, and the way you’re making sense of what it means to do information work right now. That’s the good stuff. That’s the important part.
Especially in a time when it would be so easy to hand off something like “write a reflection post about this article” to a machine, what you’re doing here feels human.
This course and its platform are meant to be exploratory, reflective, and a little bit human and messy—in the best way. And you’re all showing up for that in such thoughtful ways.
