@terribeth I had some amazing experiences with all my fan type stuff on Twitter years ago. I will miss that. I’m sorry you’re struggling. Please do the best you can and please think of the assignments perhaps a bit of a distraction and be as creative or whatever as you’d like… that goes for everyone.

@terribeth 100% yes! Civility in conversation might lead to empathy in action.

@terribeth I think this is a fantastic idea! Things can get very heated, especially around election time, and this could help alleviate that. It is important for people to be able to have open conversation and be respectful, and it’s also super important that our communities stay educated with politics – so that they can stand firmly beside their…[Read more]

@terribeth The quote from the Portable MLIS is right on target! Such a strong thought as we think about what is happening globally in the LIS world. I think that chapter helped bring Comp O to the portfolio!

@terribeth Your reflections on the profession in response to Lauersen resonate with me. We so need to have folks in our libraries (all types of libraries) that reflect our communities and our diverse and complex world.

@terribeth I agree, and I’ve noticed many librarians have great ideas but aren’t sure how to implement them or where to start. It’s always a good idea to start with the community and just simply ask them what they are looking for or what they would actually like to take part in, and then making those things or activities as accessible as possible.

@terribeth Thanks for your reply! I love cat memes, so immediately was like, “How do I include this in my blog?” That’s CRAZY about the woman who used her “donation” as a tax write-off…very depressing to think about, indeed. My local library still fines patrons for late fees, but for the month of September they are doing away with it…hopefully…[Read more]

Hi @terribeth! I have always kept a journal of one kind of another. I attempted bullet journaling once years ago, but setting up pages stressed me to my perfectionist core! These days I mostly use Google Docs, as it is always available and requires no artistic talent! lol

@terribeth I was so happy about that part!
@Catherine They are such good dogs! All of my Labs have been the best.

Hi @terribeth, “This is Actually Happening” is one of my favorite podcasts, too! However, I have to take breaks from time to time from listening to it because some of the stories are incredibly impactful and emotional. Thanks for sharing your favs!

@msandoval it does get intense, doesn’t it? But so good! And you are welcome. : )

@terribeth I heart Lilian!
Thanks for your kind words about 200 and this class!
Yay for being a film major. I did the film minor in my undergrad and it was a good background for when I started in the public library AV department.
Welcome to #hyperlib!

@terribeth @inabookbind Thanks for diving in!
Terri Beth – Apologies about not getting your name into the OPML correctly. I just corrected the OPML.
Hi @catherine! I had a bullet journaling dalliance, too!! It lasted about a month – you’re right about the page perfectionism. ;-D
