Hi Alana,
Hi Alana,
Your discussion regarding the part about how a meeting and training with staff should take place before implementing a new piece of technology or software reminded me of where I work and when they were planning to apply a newly free Wi-Fi printing system since our previous one always lagging or performing incomplete…[Read more] -

Hi Alana,
Hi Alana,
I found your post to be really insightful because it reminded me of my workplace and how patrons always praise our professionalism and wonderful customer service, which our library takes great pride in. Unfortunately, the library branch in the next town over has a reputation of either being rude to its customers or not…[Read more] -

Sorry for the duplication at the beginning. I didn’t realize I had already copied and pasted the introduction part twice. 🙂

@michael I am glad you liked the video! The Community Closet had me curious of how other libraries were assisting homeless and underserved individuals. 🙂

I utilized The Community Closet for one my final projects for INFO 281: Serving Homeless Patrons in Public Libraries, which I might incorporate a similar idea into my Innovation Strategy and Roadmap assignment.

Hi @ayeouest,
I thought it was great that you used Canva slides to present this information. The design and animation were a wonderful choice, and it went well with the theme of your topic. It was also the first time that I noticed someone decided to take the museum and archival route as opposed to a library setting. I was especially interested…[Read more] -

Hi Ashley,
I am also taking three courses this summer semester, which is the first time I have ever taken a heavy load. Today, like you, I had to remember to tell myself to take a big breath because I realized how overwhelmed I was beginning to get this first week of school. But hopefully, we all can get through this summer with hard work and…[Read more] -

Hi Kim,
The first part of your post got me a little teary-eyed because I have always been a shy individual who had a hard finding friends and I always kept my head in the books, but I always managed to find myself in a library because that is where I felt safe. It gave me a quiet place to study or ponder over my thoughts. And what a lovely…[Read more]

Hi Cayla, I have never heard of that book before but I will have to do a little research, so I can see what its all about. That is a brand new title to me and I have never heard of that author before. Thank you for suggesting that to me. 🙂

I have not had the opportunity to binge watch any current new shows, but during my time in grad school I usually have it on old series such as Seinfeld, Bones, and The Office. I think the last new show I had watch was The Walking Dead or anything related to that universe. And I hope to finish at least one of my book series, but romance authors are…[Read more]

I feel you on the binge-ing classic comedies. My eldest daughter recently discovered The Office (US version) and that’s been in the background a lot at our house. The working world feels a lot different now. I have to explain things about working in an office (her father and I both work remotely from home). Also, some of the cringe humor moments…[Read more]

Hello Samantha! So nice to e-meet you. I am also a fan of the romance genre! I just finished reading “Raiders of the Lost Heart” by Jo Segura and highly recommend it if you’re interested! It’s so challenging trying to keep up with all the latest romance book releases so thank goodness for a library card! Also, your cats are adorable. I actually have a dog named Rocket!

@samfeta27 Your cats are beautiful! I do all of my workouts which is mostly yoga stretching, and lots of long walks/hikes either at home or out in the woods because I never got comfortable going to a gym either. 😀
Welcome to #hyperlib!
