Inspiration: Austin Central Library

John Szabo, City Librarian at Los Angeles Public Library, posted this to Facebook. I asked if I could share with you all. He said yes!

During a brief trip to Austin, I had to see the gorgeous new Austin Central Library. It’s a stunner. Beyond the beauty of the space, the best part was seeing hundreds of people using the library in every imaginable way. Cheers to Roosevelt Weeks and his Austin Public Library team.

The architecture is beautiful and the space looks welcoming. I especially like the pops of red – from the art to the furniture and even in the window. The space that I would be drawn to is the chairs by the window with the view.
