Exactly! Ugh, it nearly broke me in the end though. Do you know of any presentation sites that can embed audio music files into the slide deck?? (I’m thinking my struggles may have been due to permissions). Anyway, it was frustrating. Thank you for taking the time to check out my presentation and I’ve enjoyed chatting with you and getting to see…[Read more]

Hi @Michael, could you please clarify how we obtain the “activity URL”? I see when I hover over my name in the upper right corner, the ‘Activity’ option in the drop down. After hovering over it, do we go to ‘Personal’ and submit the URL for that page?
Thank you 😊 . -

@Michael, I love that you refer to it as the “Site Formerly Known as…” 😂
It’s an interesting quandary–I wonder myself about what my next move will be after I receive the degree, but also hold in reverence the knowledge that things almost always do not turn out the way I envision or plan for them to.

Hi @laurele,
Honestly, I feel like it could be made more visible to tribal members. The Cultural Preservation Dept. and language portal are pretty buried. Maybe by design and for good reason, but that being said, I’ve shared with my family members who are not enrolled members and it is an invaluable resource for us. -

Thanks for reading, Jeanna. Did you read Cloud Cuckoo Land, by Anthony Doerr? (apologies if I’m repeating myself myself…) It is one of my favs. and is told from multiple perspectives, which I have to admit, I was put off by at first but then found so mind-blowing once the connections revealed themselves. I haven’t watched all of Outlander, but…[Read more]

Ugh, THANK YOU, for saying so, MJ! I’m not gonna lie, Google Docs gave me so much guff with the formatting at the end, causing me loads of frustration, so I appreciate the shout out. : )

@lauraw I love this and I didn’t realize that the lending of alternative items was called a “Library of Things.” I actually needed this term for my final research paper for another class! 🙂 It was very helpful!
I like the idea of these robotic animals. I definitely can see the benefit of them for elders who have memory issues. I have heard of baby dolls being used, but a robotic pet would be great too! My grandmother who is 98 years old recently lost her dog and has been having a hard time accepting and internalizing the loss. I think something like this could be helpful for her.
Great job of your project! I like how clean and easy to read it is too!

@lauraw Lovely and effective takeaways for both this course, and for life in general! As an aside, I didn’t know it was possible to create something like this in google slides.. I will have to go explore that more! I also had a lot of trouble figuring out how to edit videos to add audio at the right places, but I figured hey, it’s time to put my words into action, and embrace that lifelong learning thing we talked about so much! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

Lauren, I listened to your selected song as I swiped through your presentation and had a great time – especially with the embedded videos and fun animations. Thank you for all of your reflections and sharing your insights and expertise this semester!
