Inspiration ReportHere is my Inspiration Report, on Global Trends in Libraries.
-
Hi Colleen!
I really enjoyed your inspiration report, and it is extremely relevant to what is going on in the world right now. I had no idea that Germany public libraries had so many programs and resources available to make them as welcoming as possible to immigrants and refugees. As someone who is the child of immigrants, and who extensively used library services as a child, it was heartwarming to read about libraries across Europe that are trying their best to welcome those who had to leave their homes behind.-
Thank you, Christine! That is great to hear that growing up you utilized libraries and got a lot out of them. Yes, I also was interested in learning more about public libraries in Europe and Germany, and encouraging to hear.

Hi @christinew. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the course. I really enjoyed listening to it — and the elegant design was great! I appreciated your comments about the community and patrons being the most important thing. When I got into library work I thought it was all about the books. How quickly I learned that it’s really all about the people. In my case, middle school students. What a joy it was when I figured that out! So much fun.
Thanks again.
