@emmizo That is the weirdest thing. It is a bad link to a long gone web site for the class. This is the place to share your post and then submit to Canvas. I will look into that weird link deal.

Thanks so much @emmizo! Sorry for my late reply — I’ve been traveling and had trouble logging into my site. I’m so sorry that your friend has become an aquaintance now. I lost a friendship recently for a similar reason and it’s still troubling me. I feel like I have much to learn from that experience.
In reference to the internment camps, I…[Read more]

@emmizo Right? I got that from an SAA email, btw. If you do not already have a student membership, you might want to consider it.

@emmizo Thank you so much! The “book Far From the Tree” expanded my horizons and dramatically shifted my perspective. It can be a potentially life-changing book for parents struggling with the best way to parent their kids.

Hi, Jeanna! I’m in complete agreement with @emmizo– your report is extremely thorough and engaging both visually and in its content. The Battle Bots link was so cool (I love how reactive the crowd was!) and a great way to illustrate just how fun and creative your proposal could be for library patrons. Excellent work!

Why, thank you, @emmizo! Yes, you totally tapped into what I was putting down–both that the baskets’ designs hold symbolic meanings (especially intricate ones), but also that it was a social activity. Indeed that was the case in our class. I found out who was related to whom and heard stories their families had passed down. Pretty cool stuff!…[Read more]

@emmizo Thank you for this beautifully written post about this incredible podcast. I started listening to Ear Hustle during the first Spring of the pandemic when I was spending a lot of time in my new backyard vegetable garden. I was blown away by the stories and the humanity of it all. A lot of tears watered my vegetables, to be sure.
On a…[Read more]
