  1. I am going down the Infinite Learning route, and I am going to keep developing this idea I have about civic and media literacy for adults and seniors as participatory services. It’s something that has been in my head for a long time because I felt really ignorant about government, especially local government until I went back to school in my forties and even more so when I became City staff shortly after completing my undergrad. Now, in this time of unprecedented attacks on governmental agencies, policies, and procedures (not to mention federal workers themselves), and in this time of unprecedented access to and manipulation of information, I think everyone can benefit from ongoing training in media and government.

    1. @epistolaryacumen I think this is an excellent topic to focus on for the inspiration report. I also think it fits under the learning category as well as the trends category. I think this would be a really good thing to highlight for this class, and it demonstrates how participatory service and learning programs in the library setting evolve as the needs of our users evolve.

And this is definitely the time for people to understand how they can participate in government.
