@oliviaevans Yes, I agree! For my inspiration report, I am diving deep into the needs of foster kids and how libraries are struggling to get them into the library to take advantage of the programming. More librarians need to do outreach to group homes and other agencies working with foster youth to get them into the library.

@oliviaevans those are good memories from your reading that took place in the library. I agree, encouraging everyone to enjoy stories and to come together around stories can be so beneficial.

@oliviaevans this is an intriguing idea. I think we saw a bit of this in the libraries that activated social type features in the catalog years ago, as well as Ann Arbor district library which for years ran most of their website in blog format with lots of space for commenting. I appreciate what you imagine here and it would be very interesting to…[Read more]

Hi @oliviaevans! Happy to hear that you enjoyed what I wrote 🙂 With the advances in tech, even reading programs can be signed up online now– I remember back in the days when I had to go in person to do so. Libraries are always evolving, and with the effort in which they ease us into convenience (and accessibility) with the constant small…[Read more]

Welcome to #hyperlib!
Exciting update! I abandoned Zoom and watched some instructional videos from INFO 203 and settled on using Studio on Canvas. It worked out great and was easy to use. I would definitely recommend it!
