Supporting Curiosity Beyond Walls
In this sub-module, we’ll consider how learning now happens everywhere—not just in classrooms or within library buildings. It unfolds across digital spaces, through community conversations, and in collaborative, often unexpected environments. This shift opens up exciting possibilities for how libraries can support learners on the move.
As our roles evolve, we become facilitators of learning that’s fluid, flexible, and centered on the user. That might mean supporting mobile access to resources, offering pop-up programs in parks or community centers, or designing participatory experiences that invite exploration from wherever someone happens to be.
The Hyperlinked Library embraces this approach—openness, connection, and a willingness to meet people where they are. Learning is always in motion, always in beta. And our work, as librarians, is to guide, encourage, and make space for it—across platforms, places, and lives.
