Hi and Happy Friday, Everyone,
Does anyone have a hot tip about how to insert accents over letters (specifically accent aigu over an “e”) in Word Press? I could not locate in Post edit mode. Also, learned that when you import a movie from iMovie, it appears as a link instead of a player…Just sayin’!
@lauraw Will have to do some searches about the accents. Not familiar with how to get those. The movie could be stored at YouTube and the URL would auto-embed. Or if stored in some cloud service a link is the best way to ge.
GO. 🙂
Take a look at this: https://www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/how-to-include-special-characters-in-posts-for-wordpress/
Looks like you can copy the HTML and add it that way.
@Michael Thank you so much for the help with this–I tried to add the plugin, but looks like WP has it blocked to do that, so I bookmarked the HTML reference site. Good to practice/learn too!
@lauraw Yes – we are very locked down for plug ins etc.
@lauraw I found the little copyright symbol of an R with a circle around it in Google Docs>Insert>Special Characters, then you just select it. It transferred over when I copied the doc into my WordPress blog. I am assuming other word processing programs will have a similar feature
@emmizo, what a genius workaround, albeit a higgledy piggledy one! It worked. Thank you so much! Would be worth it to create a new doc for each posting anyway as a way to doc. e-portfolio evidence.
@lauraw, I did a little overkill last year to save my blog for my e-portfolio. I have a copy of each one as a document in my google docs, I imported my entire blog into a different wordpress account, and I took a screen shot of each one! I am a little nuts though.
@emmizo No shame in that game! Can never be too careful with that portfolio.
