I just read Incidents Around the House in 2ish days. Also, We Used to Live Here (which started as a nosleep Reddit post!). Both were great. I liked Incidents Around the House a lot.
I will be binge reading Stephen King in September / October because I love spooky books to kick off my fall season – looking to read Carrie, Night Shift (short stories), Misery, Firestarter, and hoping to get my hands on a copy of The Shining!
Hi, Carlee! Night Shift is so great!
Hi Terri! I just got first editions of all of the above so am so happy to add them to my personal library.
@crlhayd How cool!!
@crlhayd Night Shift was a HUGE deal for me when I discovered SK. So good.
King is my favorite author of all time. The first book I read by him was Desperation and I was a young teen, about 14. It was in an airport bookstore. It immediately hooked me but now my favorite novel by him is 11/22/63. I also recently found a copy of Regulators by Richard Bachman (King’s pseudonym not sure if you knew that) which is the “mirror” to Desperation. Which means… I will be re-reading that again.
@crlhayd My aunt game men her paperback of Salem’s Lot when I was 11! (I think I commented about that already…) I read it like mad and then read everything that came out all through the 80s and 90s. The Stand was incredible.
