Connection Cafe' 3 months, 1 weeks ago Hi! Wow. I like these pictures. I love that coffee crema! I make myself a latte first thing in the morning. We like to use Philz coffee beans and froth up some oat milk. I choose oat milk over cow milk because I care for cows and rather see them grazing in a field enjoying life. The background picture is very relaxing. It has both indoor and outdoor feel to it. Very soothing colors. How is everyone doing? I’m a little nervous starting out the first week with lots of reading to do and assignments to finish. But I can’t wait to learn. I have a good feeling about this semester! 🙂
I agree, that picture of the coffees is making me crave my morning cup already. I’m trying to find a non-dairy creamer that isn’t sweet and has a lot of body. I’ve tried many but keep going back to cream or milk because everything I’ve tried has been too sweet. I’d love to hear any recommendations for anything that is rich without being sweet but at this point I am not sure it’s possible with a plant based product.
I am both excited and nervous about the semester. I’m taking a full load and trying to power through. I think I can do it but it’s definitely a lot of reading and writing in all classes. My classes all seem super engaging though and I am thrilled with them so far. What else are you taking, Christine?
Hi Matilda! It’s nice to meet you! I hear you about the cream and the thickness. I like Oatly because of the thinkness and it really has as nice smooth almost flavorless taste. I just saw an Oatly version at Safeway this week without any added sugar. It might do the trick?
I’m taking 285 Evaluating Programs and Services and just one more that’s only 1 month but really useful – Info 281 Civic Literacy. I wish I could power on with more but this is a good balance for me. What are you taking? 🙂
I almost grabbed Oatly this morning but I decided to try Elmhurst Milked Oats unsweetened and honestly it might be what I am looking for. It still doesn’t offer the body I’d really like to find but the flavor was more along the lines of what I wanted.
I had thought a couple of times of taking Civic Literacy but could never fit it in. I think it looks really compelling. I am also taking 285 but Applied Research Methods, Historical Research. The only other class is 284 References & Information Services in Archives, but I am also doing my e-port this semester. We’ll see if I’ve bitten off more that I can chew. I took classes last summer and just did not want to do that again but that or the fall might end up being what happens. So far I am loving them all a lot!
