Didn’t really see anywhere else to put this, but it’s been helpful this last week. Since my library got busier a few weeks ago, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and struggling to focus on studying. But’s what’s been helping so far is using the Pomodoro Technique. Basically, four 24 minute intervals of study separated by 5-10 minute breaks, or a 20-30…[Read more]

When it comes to self-care and mindfulness, it takes time to slow down and basically smell the roses. After hours of being on the computer, I tend to get eye-strain — which basically means that I need to take a breather, focus on something green, and at 10 feet away ( according to my sister who’s an eye doctor ). @wcrabtre This sounds absolutely lovely. Lately I’ve been enjoying the podcast “Nothing Much Happens” (bedtime stories for grown-ups) to help me unwind from the day and transition into sleep; appreciate the reminder of keeping a firm screen-free time before bed!

@bekah I listen to the Nothing Much Happens podcast too, when I’m having trouble falling asleep. It almost always does the trick.

@wcrabtre I like to read before bed as well. I also find that not bringing my phone into the bedroom is extremely conducive to getting a good night’s sleep.
Have you tried Connemara whiskey? It’s too peaty for me, but it sounds like you’d enjoy it!
