My Favorite Podcast 2 months, 2 weeks agoI prefer listening to podcasts on Youtube since I enjoy the visual imagery matching the show’s story-telling. Do Apple podcasts have any visuals or are they exclusively auditory? That’s kind of a dealbreaker for me since I’m a strong visual learner.

I used to listen to this podcast religiously, but fell behind during the shutdown (when I wasn’t commuting anymore) and haven’t listened in a few years. But the “murderino” groups on facebook are my favorite, and are almost the only thing I still use facebook for anymore!

One of my classmates completed an information community project on people who digitally help solve crimes. I don’t usually listen to podcasts that often, but that podcast is one I want to re-visit. @acorey I was a long time MFM listener. I switched gears to more movie focused podcasts in the last couple of years. My memory is that one of the early listeners who is the Simpsons fan coin the term Murderino after Homer’s neighbor Ned Flanders’ way of speaking.

@inabookbind I don’t listen like I used to but in 2017 to 2021 I listened to every episode. You are right…it was like listening to friends. Karen said something I still repeat to myself and share whenever I can: “Anxiety is liar.”

@inabookbind @michael, I too feel like I’m sitting on a couch, chatting with them, and a bowl of popcorn! They definitely have the feel of being a friend. This makes me want to sneak of of their newer podcasts in, between work and school life!

Hi @terribeth, “This is Actually Happening” is one of my favorite podcasts, too! However, I have to take breaks from time to time from listening to it because some of the stories are incredibly impactful and emotional. Thanks for sharing your favs!

My Favorite Podcast 2 months, 4 weeks agoI really like This Past Weekend with Theo Von and try to never miss a podcast. He is just such a character and I love that he has no filter. I also love that he will interview people like Pauly Shore and Tommy Lee, then just a few weeks later interview Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump. What a trip.

My Favorite Podcast 3 months agoCurrently loving That’s Pretty Dark, which takes a deep-dive into the folklore, cultural, and urban legend origins of 90s kids shows/movies like Are You Afraid of the Dark and Hey Arnold. The hosts give so much attention to detail. It’s great! A little niche, but great!
