Written by I will admit that I spend a bit of time watching reels on Instagram. It must know my interest very well because this teacher’s video popped up. He fully stocks breakfast food, lunch food, and a hygiene closet in his classroom in a small town outside of San Antonio. He takes donations from all over via an Amazon wishlist. I looked at a few videos and read some comments and at one point he mentions that his school is 100% behind him for doing this.
This resonates with me because I would never want a young person to be hungry at school or to need a hygiene item that might help them get through their day.

I think this is a really cool way to support people. Teachers often showcase how they go above and beyond in supporting their students by providing them with resources and fun experiences. It is so refreshing to see that his school is supportive of his initiative!
