#hyperlib Chats

Occasionally throughout the semester, Michael will host a social hour for the class in the Hyperlinked Library Commons.  These are optional “drop in” sessions for students to ask questions, share or just chat. We might also have guest speaker or conversation with a practitioner.  There are no mandatory sessions  but students are encouraged to attend if schedules allow. It will be a way for us to check in and keep in touch. Sessions will be recorded and available via the recordings link below.

Schedule:

February 5 – Our first Class Social Hour will be at 11am PT. I’ll be on hand to chat or answer any questions you have. No formal agenda, just a chance to check in.

February 20 – Michael Casey, author of one of our foundational texts and Director of Customer Experience for the Gwinnett County Public Library in metropolitan Atlanta, will join us at 4pm PT. We’ll talk a bit about his libraries and answer any questions you have, etc.

March 5 – Assignment Q & A Session for Planning, Director’s Brief & Symposium, 1pm PT.

March 20 –  Stacie Ledden joins us at 4pm PT. Stacie is Director of Innovations and Brand Strategy at Anythink Libraries.

TBA – Char Booth joins us at XX PT. She is Associate Dean of the Library at CSU San Marcos and an ACRL Immersion Institute faculty member.
