@carahuttinger Thank you! I really enjoyed diving into LoTs. Katelynn Scott (included in the references) wrote a really interesting paper about how she implemented a makerspace and LoT in her school library and makes a good argument–I’d definitely share that with my admins.

@carahuttinger do not worry about captions underneath the images if you do not want to. A list of Image references at the end would be just fine with me. I am not worried about strict APA or anything for our class.

@carahuttinger I am sorry you can relate, but thank you for sharing. This is a big problem that, unfortunately, affects many library workers. Like you said, abuse from patrons is not often talked about, and I have been disappointed in general to see how LIS education does not prepare future librarians for this reality.

@carahuttinger i’m sorry to give you this news, but we are really locked down by the university for any type of plug-in that has not gone through a very rigorous evaluation. It might take a school year to get something installed. It is absolutely fine to use a link to Canva where we can see the slides or whatever works best for you. Apologies for this.
