Innovation and Strategy Roadmap: Reimagining the Middle School Library

What if the school library could be an energetic, dynamic space with students teaching alongside the adults? Book bedazzling at lunchtime? Peer tutoring? This is my vision for reimagining the school library, starting with middle school. I hope you enjoy it!

Great presentation! There is such great potential for middle school libraries to position themselves as a place to meet their students at such a critical developmental stage while also supporting educational needs.

Hi Cara! I’ve been focusing on public libraries myself, so it is was fun to see your presentation about how to bring the Hyperlinked philosophy to a middle school setting! I would have loved to have the options for lunchtime library programming as a kid. By bringing these principles into a middle school library students would have many more opportunities to engage with their curiosity and creativity. Great ideas here!

@Maria thank you! It feels a bit aspirational right now, but I would love to get it there!
