My inspiration report focuses on a blend of power of stories and infinite learning through a participatory program that encourages and promotes the arts and creative expression of adolescents. In addition to learning and honing an artistic skill or talent, engaging in the arts has a psychological benefit, as well. Further, teens are empowered to have their voices heard by sharing their creative endeavors with their peers and the community at large.

I love this idea! I think the idea of an artist-in-residence is especially intriguing. Maybe even a program where the teens become mentors in the coming years. What a cool way to build community at the library!
