Hello everyone!
My name is Eric Cruz-Ramirez and I am from Indio, California! I am currently the Program & Volunteer Coordinator for one of my local public libraries! I enrolled in this course as I was interested in the emerging technologies in the library and in the Hyperlinked Library’s user-centered and human approach. My current position has provided me with the opportunity to make connections with members of my community and local organizations with a similar mission as my library’s. As such, I look forward to learning about tools that I can share at my library to elevate the services for our community. I have absolutely fallen in love with working at a public library and hope to continue after completing the program.
One of the absolute best things about working at my library is that I get to take care of this girl right below! Her name is Megumi, named after one of my favorite Jujutsu Kaisen characters.

Here’s to a great semester!

Hi Eric! Your current position at work sounds very exciting–I think it’s great that libraries today are focusing more on community outreach.
Megumi is very cute! I have a cat named Miso, he’s in my profile picture. Also, love your site name I just finished reading Dunmeshi and have started watching the anime.
Hope you have a great semester!
@ericcruzramirez Megumi is beautiful! So glad you found your way to this class. your work at the library sounds interesting and I am thinking there will be inspiration here for you. Welcome to #hyperlib!
Hey @ericcruzramirez, love the pun (and reference) in your blog title & tagline! This course does sound like a great way to forge and strengthen the connections you make through your role, and I’m excited for both you and your community. By the way, is Megumi a library pet gecko??
