Innovation Roadmap – Embedded Law Librarians For Legal Research by Staci Wright
Hello Everyone! Here is my Innovation Roadmap, where I explored the idea of embedding librarians into research courses at the university level. I stumbled across some interesting articles that sparked my interest this service, as this type of service seems to embody the themes of this course well.
I decided to challenge myself to think of a program that could realistically be implemented in my current place of work. This turned out to be a lot more difficult than I expected! I found a lot of resources on other law libraries exploring AI technologies. But, in reflecting on the realities of the day-to-day functioning of my workplace, I felt as though we were missing that crucial human connection between library staff and our students. To me, we need to start there and earn the trust of our community before technolust gets the better of us. Embedding our law library research staff into the classroom seemed like an excellent place to start.
