Isn&#8217;t it interesting how something so simple could be so powerful for folks sitting down to relax a bit at the library and discovering that there is a bowl of discussion topics right there.</p>

You reminded me of when I started Internet training at the public library in the 90s and how some of the patrons coming for classes had no idea how to use a search engine or subject list. I found it very rewarding to help them navigate this new realm.</p>

I agree with your statement that teens should be given a voice in the planning of teen programs and spaces, and feel empowered to share their opinions. Unfortunately, in some libraries, teens are seen more as a nuisance by staff and avoided. In the library I currently work at, this is sadly the case with our teen patrons.
