This course has helped me broaden my understandings and horizons of what a library has the potential to be. A library can provide books, reference materials, and a quiet place for solo work. But, it can also provide loud, interactive, and community services. It can be mobile and meet patrons in different locations. It can change as its community’s needs change. It can thoughtfully plan and integrate new technologies. It can lead with heart.

There are seemingly infinite opportunities for librarians – which I find to be really exciting! This course has helped renew my desire to provide creative services for whichever community I end up serving.

I called this “Where I’m Going” as, in line with some of our major themes, I wanted to embrace the idea of infinite learning and continuous self-reflection.
