Good Morning,
I’m Scot or @justonet. Here we are. A new school term. An unexpected summer session. Not exactly thrilled, if I’m being completely honest. However, I was given the opportunity to jump in last minute to speed up the completion of my degree. Open courses were sparse a couple days into the term, and I wasn’t sure if this would be intriguing or relevant to my future endeavors, but after doing the first module readings, this is EXACTLY what I need right now.
Jumping from a Pre-Covid career as a freelance music supervisor for film/tv, I was all about combining my passions of film and music to work for me as a job. Bookselling has been another favorite career of mine for many years, and after the entertainment industry collapsed and Covid shut everything down, I gravitated toward LIS and learned what a Library REALLY is. Now I’d love to finish this degree and do it all in a film or music library, archive, or museum. This course seems like it will provide great strategies to understand, embrace, and contribute to what’s coming round the bend.
Here’s to a great term and to what’s next and what’s possible!
