Welcome!

Hello, all! Welcome to Hyperlinked Hijinks, my blog that explores the playful and robust concept of hyperlinked libraries. I chose this course because I want to be informed and adept at curating a positive user experience for library patrons and staff! As a public librarian, I experience a high amount of in-person interaction, but I don’t want connection to stop at the doors of my library. There is a vast online world we should be present and participating in to increase accessibility and to continue to build community.

A gray tabby named Cigarette.

My sweet kitten, Cigarette.

Outside of the library, I can be found hiking, birding, baking, bookbinding, or playing with my two rescue kitties!

A long-haired black cat.

My big boy, Percival.

My favorite places are anywhere with an abundance of trees and I dream of visiting Sequoia National Park one day. I am excited to learn from all of you this semester and wish everyone the best of luck!

Hi Madison! I love baking and hiking as well, although now my children are grown I don’t have as many people to help me eat the baked goods 🙂

  2. @madisont I ❤️ Percival & Cigarette! I really appreciate your thoughts about reaching all users through various in person and online means and it’s so nice that you’d like to get out into the trees! Welcome to the hyperlinked library!
