✿ Howdy Y’all ✿

Hello, my Name is Naikia Felder, but my artist name is Celeste. I am a writer, illustrator, and designer currently located in South Carolina. I lived in LA for the past four years, but unfortunately, I developed an autoimmune disorder that has forced me to move back home. Previously, I worked in TV animation, but recently I have started branching out into comics, game development, and, of course, libraries. I am in my second-to-last semester at SJSU, and I’m excited to graduate. My MLIS will be my third degree, and I’m definitely looking forward to not being in college anymore.

I have zero experience working in libraries, but I’ve been an avid user and enjoyer of them since I was a child. I’d love to work in a library, but I’m also interested in working in museums, galleries, and archives. I signed up for this course because I thought it sounded interesting. I’m excited to learn something new that I hope will also be useful in my later career. I am sick most days now, but I am forever a multi-passionate person who likes learning and wants to do everything I can with the time I have. It’s nice to meet everyone, and I hope we have an awesome summer learning together!

Hi Naikia – I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with the customizations you have done to your blog site here. It is fun to see people’s personalities reflected! I have yet to figure out how to do this for my site. Also, congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Very exciting! I myself am only half way through the program, taking the long 5-year track. I totally second your commentary about looking forward to not being a student anymore. Best of luck with this class!

Hi Rachel! Thank you so much for the feedback. I had a lot of fun customizing everything. The hardest part for me was deciding which pictures to use. Congratulations on making it half way through! 5 years can pass in the blink of an eye. I’m excited to be finished, but I’m sure I’ll look back and miss being in school. I wish you luck in your continued studies, this class, and hope you have a great summer semester. Good luck with your site customizations as well, I’m sure you’ll come up with something uniquely you!

@celestialcelery greetings and I am happy to learn about your background. I’m sorry you were dealing with your auto immune issues. I am thrilled you are almost done with the degree and I think your background in art. And animation is so interesting and will serve you well in whatever information or GLAM environment you land in. I hope you find inspiration in this class and also the opportunity for creativity. Welcome to the hyperlinked library!
