Hello Everyone,

My name is Raquel Castanon, and I live in San Diego, California. I live with my spouse, two teenaged children, and my blue nose pit bull. In my free time I like to run or walk outside and read. I have worked in a public library as a library technician for about five years. I enjoy programming, outreach and readers’ advisory. I chose this course because it was highly recommended online by other students. One of my coworkers who graduated from SJSU School of Information over five years ago and is now working as a librarian asked about what classes I was enrolled in for Fall. When I told them about being enrolled in Hyperlinked Library, they got very excited and said that it was one of their favorite classes in the whole program. Their enthusiasm made me even more excited to take the class. They have been an inspiration to me and have been very supportive of my MLIS journey. I have been slowly chipping away at my MLIS taking one or two classes per semester. I have two or three semesters left until graduation. Overall, the courses have been very useful in my everyday work.
