Hi Maria, this sounds like a wonderful project that would instill empathy and teach valuable digital literacy skills to students. I like how you emphasized the benefits to traditionally marginalized voices. In addition to your ideas, I think it would be a nice experience for students to feel like they’re leaving behind a legacy at their schools. Perhaps later in life, they can even return to the school to hear their story from their child self and reflect on how far they’ve come. These living books can effectively become time capsules if preserved correctly.

Maria, this is such an amazing project. I was just at a kids museum in Mexico City and they had a podcast studio. It was such a big hit! As a mom, I would also love this way to preserve some of my kids ideas and stories. It could make for an amazing space to create gifts for parents, grandparents, etc. Especially in a world where more stuff is a hassle, I would love an audio recording of my kids telling their favorite stories. This is a great project!
