This is a new concept for an academic library with no culinary program attached to the school. The idea is to collaborate with area restaurants to educate students on food literacy, research, and overall independent living skills that many who come to college are lacking due to changing times and skills such as cooking, sewing, etc are becoming a lost art. While there was a resurgence of some of these skills especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, many lifestyles today have not incorporated or prepared students to do some of life’s basic skills for independence.
