First of all, I need to say that your presentation is STUNNING! Did you create it on your own, or did you use a template? I kept scrolling through just to look at the pictures and colors! It’s amazing.
I love that you did this report on the incorporation of nature into library spaces. I think it’s a great idea and I can see so many benefits, especially in areas that don’t have a lot of “natural” nature. When our library was built, the architects put in a lot of nods to nature, but it was more abstract and ended up looking cold and harsh. I had been going there as a patron for years and never noticed the theme. It was maybe 2 years after I started working there that someone mentioned the “tree” and the “lake” in the lobby to me, and I had to have them bring me to it and show it to me. I would much prefer the real nature.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I started by using a template but I did do a lot of personalization of my own for the slide deck.
I totally agree with you that nature integrated libraries can be beneficial in more urban areas. I also prefer real nature. I’m really curious as to how the “tree” and “lake” look at your library. A library local to where I live, Cerritos Library, has a large aquarium, lots of natural light, live indoor plants throughout, and the children’s section has a “save the planet” theme.
The Anythink Nature Library in Colorado really made me reconsider the various opportunities that libraries have in the future.
