Hyperlinked Symposium- Mind Map: My Hyperlinked Library Journey
Throughout The Hyperlinked Library course, my understanding of innovation in libraries grew in ways I didn’t expect. Across my assignments and reflections, certain core ideas continued to surface, including empathy, equity, participation, storytelling, creativity, and belonging. This mind map brings those themes together to show how my perspective evolved over the course of the term, from seeing libraries as information providers to recognizing them as lifelines, barrier‑free spaces, creative classrooms, communities of belonging, and places where shared stories strengthen connection. As I move toward children’s librarianship, I hope to create spaces that spark imagination, nurture confidence, and grow alongside the communities they serve.

@vino I love this mind map that you created for your symposium. It’s engaging and informative like a page out of a scrapbook. This class taught us all so much about how to create a hyperlinked library space that incorporates so many aspects I hadn’t thought a library would be able to do. I was please to read through what your important takeaways from this class were and how you plan to incorporate these into your own library someday. Fantastic!

@vino I love the antique scrapbook aesthetic you have going on here! In this class and beyond, it is truly amazing to see how far libraries can reach. Your infographic effectively summarizes all the possibilities of libraries. I think this would be a great resource for students who aren’t familiar with the concept of Library 2.0.
