James Patterson

So another library social media trend I’ve noticed is light-hearted humor about author James Patterson. He is such a prolific writer and this leads to some hilarious short form videos. I believe the first video I encountered was a form of “Go Fish” with James Patterson’s author picture on the back of his books. It was so funny to me that he had published so many and with enough different photographs that they could make this game.

As I was going through my saved videos, I found a lot more funny videos that related to James Patterson as an author or his multitude of books. Here was one funny video that was an April Fool’s joke:

I hope you enjoyed some of these hilarious videos! 🙂

I love the creative Social Media that is happening on multiple platforms and coming from public libraries! I will be highlighting some of them in my blog.

So the City of Marion Libraries was one of the first that I fell in love with a few years ago. And, if I remember correctly, this was the first video that I saw of theirs. But over time I’ve fallen even more in love with Denise and Jasmine (and other staff), but the interactions between Denise and Jasmine are definitely my favorite. I wish I could go to Australia just to hang out with them! 😀

This is an interview with Jasmine about her job as the marketing manager–maybe something that people in our class might be interested in!

And this is one of my favorite viral videos from them, referencing Pride and Prejudice and featuring the fabulous Denise.

Jasmine was invited to the US to visit some libraries and she is chronicling her journey on social media.

I will probably post more of my favorite library social media creators or just links to funny videos in my blog, but this post is an introduction to this area that I enjoy, and shares a little of my love of these Australian librarians!
