Inspiration Report: Human Books Book Club

For this inspiration report, I was heavily inspired by participatory service and the power of stories. Something that I care deeply about is trying to understand others by listening to them. I think that people would truly understand one another at least a little more if more respectful and open conversations were had. This Inspiration Report came about from those ideas. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Hi @eestradalopez this is a great project! I really like the idea of a human library and would love to participate in one near me. I think this really embodies the idea of a hyperlinked library where people are listening and learning from one another. Lovely slideshow with a great design, thank you for sharing 🙂

  2. Hi Esperanza,
When I learned about the Human Library I was absolutely ecstatic ! I like the idea of combining that with a book club to create the ultimate space for human discourse. I also wondered how this compares to something like a socratic seminar that I’ve seen hosted at some libraries–they focus on a topic and go around sharing their ideas on it. Thanks for sharing !
