I’ve been trying out running models on my desktop or laptop using LM Studio (closed source) and Anything LLM (open source). I figure this way I am using fewer resources and internalizing the cost.

I’ve used ChatGPT as a kind of final check on work, but that’s about all. It’s useful for identifying possible improvements but the thought of using it for actual content I would share is almost unthinkable to me. I suspect we’re in for some generational reckoning with social norms around AI.
