Hyperlinked Symposium: Hyperlinked Junk Journal

For the virtual symposium I have created this junk journal spread that visually captures the essence of the Hyperlinked Library concept by weaving together themes of connection, storytelling, and community engagement. My collage’s mix of words like “Bold Changes,” “Hope amid Hardship,” and “Unlocking Possibilities” reflects how libraries evolve through participatory culture and authentic relationships rather than transactional outreach. The quote from Angela Hursh highlights the shift from promotion to narrative which mirrors the course’s emphasis on libraries as dynamic, human centered networks that share stories to foster belonging and resilience. The creative, tactile design itself embodies the hyperlinked mindset: blending digital and physical elements to illustrate how libraries connect people, ideas, and experiences in meaningful, joyful ways.
