Let me tell you a little about myself. I lived in California my entire life. I grew up in the Bay Area, attended San Jose State University and graduated in the Spring of 2019 with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (MIS). I have worked in the IT field, but found that it wasn’t really what I was interested in. Fast forward to March of this year…I now work as a Marketing Analyst for an Insurance Software company located in San Mateo, California.
I chose this course because the topic seemed interesting. Examining various emerging theories of user-centered library service. What caught my attention was the technological tools portion of the class. I’m a techie and I always find myself researching and buying the next best gadget to make my life easier. I am excited about this semester because it lands during my favorite time of the year, which happens to be Fall! I enjoy the weather changing from being warm to slightly cooler and all the festivities that come from October to December.
I am interested in the Library and Information Science field because I would like to work in a school setting. I found learning fascinating at a young age and it has been the best part of my younger years. If I could pursue my passion and have a chance to help others achieve their goals, that would make me extremely happy.
