Virtual Symposium: 3-2-1 Reflection in Poetry

I’m finding it a little melancholic hitting publish on my final blog for this course.

Thank you for the kind, thoughtful comments—almost always making me stop and consider things further. It’s been a wonderful semester and I wish you all the best on your MLIS journey and beyond.

I’m leaving you with three aha moments in poetic form . . .

Thank you for sharing this, Bevin! I agree it has been a great semester. It is wonderful to see all the different posts, connect, and be inspired. Your poem was simple and amazing. I especially love that you pointed out how we need to show up with curiosity rather than control. I hope you have a great winter break!!

    • Thank you, Tessa. One of my biggest takeaways was to approach librarianship with curiosity rather than control —- being open to what the community really needs, opposed to what we think it needs.

  2. Stunning work, Bevin. It’s been a long time since I’ve dabbled in creative writing, but your work made me smile, and inspired me to try some again. This is a lovely energy to bring into the library space. Best wishes & happy holidays. Hope to see you at the symposium!
