Please use the following link to access my presentation for the Innovation Strategy & Roadmap Assignment, titled “Unstacking the Library.” This project was inspired by the State Library of South Australia’s recent addition to their online catalog, “Unstacked,” which you can view here, or within the presentation for more detail. As explained in the slides, I wanted to address a growing issue I’ve seen with my students where many seem to be locked into titles that are popular with their grade level and are unwilling to explore new titles as a result, and are therefore missing out on what our collection has to offer. I was searching for innovations that might help introduce new, creative ways to expand their horizons by leaning into the popularity factor but bringing in perspectives from other members of the community they may not interact with in their day-to-day. Thank you for reading!
