My name is Janna (she\/they), and I am looking forward to our Hyperlinked course because I truly believe in libraries&#8217; potential and their role in building better futures. I come from a career supporting historically marginalized and economically disenfranchised communities. Libraries are among the few institutions with a shared commitment to uplifting the needs of these constituents. Some areas of interest currently include information literacy and bridging the digital divide. I think some of the values of Hyperlinked Libraries mirror those used in grassroots community organizing, such as participatory and compassion-centered engagement.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of my first electives, as I just finished INFO 200 last semester. <a href=\"https:\/\/ischoolblogs.sjsu.edu\/info\/jannaxzw\/\">Blogging<\/a> was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed Professor Michael&#8217;s lecture recordings. This semester, I want to do more audio or podcast-adjacent posts!
