Recently we did a poetry unit and I let them write and share their poetry. As we were analyzing what makes a Spooky Story, the 4th Graders asked if they could write and share their own Spooky Stories. It&#8217;s been a while since I had a class specifically ask to do something like this&#8211;especially writing&#8211;so of course I said yes!<\/p>\n<p>This is a video I saw today on Social Media that does a great job of creating a Spooky Atmosphere. I&#8217;m going to share it with my students before we start writing our Spooky Stories. I also have a graphic organizer to help them brainstorm and gather their ideas. We will be focusing on how the setting and characters are really important in Spooky Stories.
