I loved your presentation, @anitaagarza88. Opting for programming utilizing the very tool we use every day to connect with each other cuts right to the core of participatory innovation. What better way to invite and establish pockets of community in a library than through language and culture?
Your presentation reminded me of the ALASC x SLASC’s Around the World Library Tour that I attended. The first library shared was Biblioteca Vasconcelos in Mexico City, and the librarian in their promotional video spoke about their sign language classes and how they celebrate national sign language day every year. Here’s the video if you’re interested! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGjomX5i9Eg
