Hello @zoewilliams I think it is because the video is unlisted. I went to your video on YT and grabbed the share URL and tried that above…and then one of my videos of the boys swimming. It embedded! Maybe try listing the video?

Paste the video’s URL. Not embed code.
Video appears
Click blue “Insert into post” button at lower right

Really interesting video! BookTok has certainly affected the publishing industry, so many books have become popular through this site. My library usually has displays of popular BookTok recommendations. I appreciate that you discussed the fact that BIPOC books/creators face struggles on the site. Thanks for the suggestions on how to promote their books!

I really enjoyed your vlog. Thank you. I did do one booktok but never came back around to it, but I really need to. Social media is definitely the best way to reach out to my patrons. I love that it is reviving the publishing industry as well. Thank you for the reminder about booktoks!

Hi Zoe,
I enjoyed your vlog. I have an instagram and TikTok account for my library (@mvmsreads), but I am not the greatest or most consistent person on it. Your first video was great! And inspiring. The videos I have made are recorded videos with songs. We tried to do a “what to read Wednesdays” last May, but it fizzled because my middle school students didn’t want to do it. I hope, when I finish the program, I won’t feel as overwhelmed and I will be able to push social media more for my library, along with other avenues, to connect with my students and ensure I am servicing them in the way they need or want to be served.

This is so great! I wish this had been around when my son was little. Kids outgrow and grow bored of toys so easily. This is a smart solution that will curb some of that waste, as well as save parents money. This is a great example of libraries being about people!

I also wish I had also been a part of one! I love the practical nature and the community building that happens organically when people come together at a Toy Library. So many possibilities for information exchange!

I love this idea of Toy Libraries. I have seen this starting to become integrated at a few of the libraries I’ve worked at but nothing to this scale and it never had this name attached to it. Such a great concept and beneficial to the community. Thank you for sharing these findings.
