@michael Very happy you enjoyed it. Regarding the salad piece…imagine buying salad ingredients for 1,900 people, as she did for the 2008 Tate performance. The salad keeps getting bigger and bigger over time. Here’s a great video that shows more of the Tate performance.

Hi Bethany,
I’m actually old enough to remember having and using a walkman! I actually just saw this “Snoopy Collection” at the MoMA Design store:

Hi Louis,
Thanks for the link to the Wiseman Retrospective! I live in Hollywood too (just moved to Little Armenia).
The Braille Institute Library sounds very interesting. I’ve never been there but would love to visit and learn more.
Cheers!

It appears to work! Thank you so much. I’m a coder now and my hyperlinks will look neat now. Cheers!

Thanks for this video! I’m glad it works…I’ll have to figure out how to insert the HTML — does it only work if you’re the author of the site? I may stick to pasting in URLs!

@michael Just out of curiosity, is there a way to include hyperlinks in blog comments without pasting in the entire URL?
-
@arthurkolat I am thinking no but I will do a test now!
-
Take a look at this recent post. It worked with VERY rudimentary HTML. I do not know if that is useful.
-
It worked there too.

Hi Terri,
I’m also a Rush fan (I saw them in Irvine in 2002 and loved it!!), and that part of the reading really resonated with me as well. Actually, in 2015, I heard an interview with Jimmy Wales, co-founder of Wikipedia, where he quotes the same line from Tom Sawyer (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05vstzl) as a way to think about the nature…[Read more] -

@arthurkolat Thank you for sharing Perusall! I have never heard of this website, but I love the idea of everyone getting to annotate together and share stories, pictures, and ideas throughout. What a fun concept! It’s like a very interactive online book club, and I can’t wait to use this and share with others. Also, I love that you made a video. You and several other classmates are inspiring me to try out different forms of presentation on my own blog.

Hi @arthurkolat
Thank you for creating an informative video. I really appreciate the breakdown of both digital tools, Perusall and Scalar. I admit, I have not had the opportunity to work with Perusall, but I have heard about Scalar. Either way, the information you provided was very helpful, and it reminded me how awesome these types of platforms can be.

Hi! All of your projects sound incredibly interesting! And congrats on publication.
I’m intrigued by experimental novels, though I’ve yet to really dive into any. James Elkins’ project sounds really interesting, and the book published by Unnamed Press sounds like something I’d really enjoy (I’m a big fan of both Sebald and Tokarczuk).

@arthurkolat So enjoyed this while I had my tea this morning. I appreciate where you took the idea of sharing food as a means to connect. The salad example is amazing.
The bowls are from IKEA … an old set we had on hand for years. Soup night IMHO requires a fresh different bow for each soup!
