@bescamilla My dad is retired from technical work and this is a project that he would love. I also think there are many seniors that want to try new things but do not have access. I also appreciated your ideas to expand the project to other facilities to other underserved populations. Good work!
I’m late to the party to comment on this but I concur with my classmates. Great idea with lots of opportunity for involvement and engagement (volunteers?) that could really make a difference for socially isolated people. I am really interested in how maker spaces can really be teaching spaces for new skills, and I love the idea of bringing that around to other people. Kind of like a bookmobile, but a learning mobile! I had never heard of these before but am glad I have now. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a great idea. I specifically like the idea to make the makerspace mobile so it can meet seniors where they are. I really like your approach to this proposal as well. Instead of focusing on the technology benefits, you chose to focus on the community aspect. This would be a great way to have seniors socialize. Great job!
